Depart from Barcelona’s sunny coasts and enjoy FREEDOM THAT TAKES
YOU PLACES at sea before reaching Napoleon’s native island of Corsica. Wander through the spa of
St-Tropez on the Cote d’Azur and explore Bormes las Mimosas, one of the most beautiful places in
France. The EUROPA 2 will cruise past breathtaking Cinque Terre before reaching Livorno, the
starting point for explorations of Tuscany: Florence* is the birthplace of the Renaissance, and
Lucca is also proud of its historical legacy. The mediaeval fortifications in Portoferraio and the
various faces of Elba can be seen before we call at the port of Civitavecchia and bid farewell to
the sunny Mediterranean.

Calvi/Corsica/France, 7.00 – 15.00 hrs
After a relaxing day at sea, Corsica welcomes you with
the impressive Calvi citadel – the ideal spot for a magnificent
panoramic view. Explore the peaceful, quiet streets of the upper city
whilst the bustling port promenade in the lower city invites you to take a
wander. Take a mountain-bike tour* to La Revellata*, passing dreamlike
vistas, and experience Corsica a different way. The Mediterranean fragrance
of olive trees, cypresses and oleander will envelop you in the Parc de
Saleccia* gardens.
CHILDREN’S EXCURSION: Today we have to climb a
lot of steps before we reach Calvi Citadel*. But it’ll be worth it:
when we get to the top, we’ll hear great stories and enjoy the view of the
sea.

Cruise along the Cote d’Azur, approx. 8.30 – 10.00 hrs
St-Tropez/France, 11.00 – 18.00 hrs
On the following day, the EUROPA 2 will reach an
outstanding observation point: the ship will cruise along the picturesque
Cote d’Azur. One of its most famous spas is St-Tropez, which
combines sophisticated lifestyle and Provencal markets with an eccentric
image and sights including the mansions built in the 17th and 18th
centuries. Dive into the jet-set lifestyle and explore St-Tropez on foot,
or take an excursion to Bormes les Mimosas*. This mediaeval city is one of
the most beautiful places in France, and over 700 types of plants and
flowers make for a splendid backdrop to a walk.
TEENS’ EXCURSION: Ready your cameras and
set off on a photo rally through St-Tropez*. Explore this spa city
with its great yacht harbour and take photos of your favourite places.

Portofino/Italy, 8.00 – 14.00 hrs
Cruise along Cinque Terre
Portofino is just as spectacular, and is a dream
destination on the Italian coast. Enjoy a cappuccino on the waterside
promenade and take in the atmosphere of this colourful village, or climb
the steps to San Giorgio church, where you’ll be rewarded with idyllic
views of the sea and bay. Alternatively, take a boat trip to Santa
Margherita and Rapallo* – hidden treasures of the Italian Riviera.
Cinque Terre – five villages snuggled tightly into the cliffs
– makes for a breathtaking view when you cruise by in the EUROPA
2.

Livorno (Florence)/Italy, 7.00 – 0.00 hrs
The following day will be dominated by one of the most
significant Italian cultural landscapes. Livorno is your starting
point for exploring Tuscany. Florence* is a special gem, where the Medici
encouraged a large number of artistic geniuses. Follow in the footsteps of
Dante, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, and embrace the beauty of the
Renaissance. Alternatively, in the dreamy village of Bolgheri you can taste
Tuscan wine* and other Italian specialities. You can also opt to take a
cycling tour through Lucca* and its historical diversity.
FAMILY EXCURSION: The Leaning Tower of
Pisa* is famous around the world. Today we’ll pay a visit to this
famous building and find out why it is so askew and why it doesn’t fall
over.

Elba is also rich in history and natural beauty.
The charm of the main city of Portoferraio lies in its narrow streets,
comfortable cafes and mediaeval fortifications. Discover the many faces of
Elba – with long sandy beaches, testaments to Spanish rule, mountainous and
wooded stretches of land and typical Mediterranean vegetation – on an
island tour* or a hike* before parting from the sunny Mediterranean in
Civitavecchia.
