Day 1 Hong Kong/China, Embarkation aboard the MS Europa 2 and overnight stay on board.
Before you begin your cruise along the Vietnamese coast, you will enjoy one night aboard the EUROPA 2 in the port of Hong Kong – your opportunity to discover the city at the mouth of the Pearl River during a helicopter flight* over the fascinating metropolis or a trip* to the junks and sampans of the former fishing village.
Day 2 Hong Kong, departure 14.00 hrs
The following day in the South China Sea invites you to get to know your home on the oceans.
Day 3 Relaxation at sea
Day 4 Sanya/Hainan/China, 8.00 – 17.00 hrs
The following day in the South China Sea invites you to get to know your home on the oceans. Start the fourth day of your voyage at a leisurely pace in Sanya on the Chinese island of Hainan, which is also called “China’s Hawaii”. In the course of a tour* of the southern port city including a visit to its picturesque market, you will gain unforgettable insights into everyday life on the island.
Day 5 Halong Bay/Vietnam, 8.30 – 13.00 hrs
Scenic Halong Bay awaits you the next morning – a boat* takes you right through the mystic world of around 3,000 bizarre little limestone islands. Alternatively, you may wish to begin your overland excursion* here – you have several days to explore the capital city Hanoi with its captivating mixture of colonial charm and Vietnamese day-to-day life.
Day 6 Chan May/Vietnam, 7.30 – 9.30 hrs.  Da Nang (Hue)/Vietnam, 12.30 – 19.00 hrs.
If you would like to visit the old imperial city Hue* on the banks of the Perfume River, you will set out from Chan May and come back aboard the EUROPA 2 in Da Nang. In the city located at the Han River estuary, a visit to the Cham Museum* with its rare exhibits relating to the Cham culture provides impressive experiences. Or let yourself be fascinated by the romantic merchants’ city Hoi An*, the alleys, trading houses and Chinese temples of which constitute a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
Day 7 Nha Trang/Vietnam, 14.00 – 19.00 hrs
In Nha Trang, you will be welcomed by the “Nice of the east”. Join a tour of discovery* and follow the enthralling traces of its ancient history to sights such as the famous Long Son Pagoda on the dragon hill with its white, 14 metres tall statue of Buddha and the Cham towers dating back to the 9th century.
Day 8 Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)/Vietnam, arrival 12.30 hrs
The day after, you will reach another one of Vietnam’s highlights – Ho Chi Minh City, which is more commonly known by its former name Saigon. The EUROPA 2 will be lying at anchor here for two nights. You can explore the country’s pulsating metropolis with a colonial past by taking a walk or strolling through the exclusive main shopping street Dong Khoi. Furthermore, early risers have the option to practise the meditative martial art tai chi* under the guidance of locals. Alternatively, you can gather lasting impressions during a boat trip* on the busy Mekong River.
Day 9 Ho Chi Minh City

Day 11 Relaxation at sea
Day 12 Phu Quoc/Vietnam, 7.00 – 17.00 hrs
