SmallShips.travel | Sea Cloud | Barbados-Curacao Dec 15 2014

Sea Cloud – Warm Winter in the Carribbean Sea

Bridgetown, Barbados to Willemstad, Curacao – December 15-22, 2014 – Voyage SC1444

Sail with the summer trade winds and dreams of the Caribbean to the

Grenadines and the ABC islands

A day at the beach on the popular sailors’ island of Bequia

The Sea Cloud drops anchor in Admiralty Bay at Port Elizabeth on Bequia. It is the meeting place for round-the-world sailors and private luxury yachts. Our zodiacs bring you to the town or to one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. You will have plenty of time for whatever you choose, be it swimming, snorkeling or taking a stroll.

Tobago Cays – a paradise for snorkelers

Far away from everyday life ashore lie five uninhabited islands surrounded by a turquoise sea, just waiting to be discovered. Their name? The Tobago Cays. Four of the islands are surrounded by a protective, horseshoe shaped coral reef. This is an ideal place for snorkeling

and a refuge for rare marine wildlife.

Idyllic sailing along the trade winds

Every day the crew climb up the masts to hoist the sails, and every hour the trade winds provide the tall ship with everything it needs to show just what it is made for – in an ideal sailing area. In winter and spring, the region’s trade winds ensure perfect sailing conditions as well as a pleasant air and water temperature. The hours at sea become a feast for all who want to experience the freedom beneath white sails.

A lecturer accompanies the trip

A lecturer will accompany you on this trip to deliver interesting and informative talks on a range of specialist subjects.

SmallShips.travel | Sea Cloud II | Bridgetown Roundtrip Dec 22 2014

Snowy white beaches at Christmas and a blast of new experiences for the New Year
Bridgetown, Barbados Round trip December 22, 2014 – January 5, 2015- Voyage SCII 1448

Lush rainforest and colorful reefs, a luxury island for the jet set and the joie de vivre of calypso.

Tobago: an island paradise

The small fishing village of Charlotteville is situated in Tobago’s idyllic Man-O-War Bay and can only be reached by land via a steep road which cuts through the rainforest.  With the yacht anchored in the town’s picturesque bay, you will have plenty of time to discover the island’s diverse birdlife or to plunge into the emerald-green waters.

Grenada – the island of spice

Although Grenada has been blessed with around 45 picture-perfect beaches, the country’s real treasure remains its lush, green island interior. Deep volcanic lakes, dense rainforests, waterfalls and small river courses form the primordial backdrop of the island’s sugar cane fields and spice plantations. It is the reason why the scent of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg hangs in the air wherever you go on Grenada.

Snorkelers’ paradise in the Tobago Cays

For many, life under water is a fascinating world – one that becomes even more magical the closer you get.  The Tobago Cays’ Horseshoe Reef is such a place. This horseshoe-shaped coral reef encloses four small islands that glow in rich shades of green. The sea, in contrast, embraces turquoise, emerald and every shade of blue.

The jet set island of St Barts

Although many like to call it “St Barts” for short, the island’s official name is St Barthélemy.  Having passed through several different owners, the island was finally bought by France in 1877 and is now firmly in the hands of the jet set. Elegant Gustavia entices with classy goods and glamour hidden away behind restored facades, and the harbor hosts luxury yachts with famous owners.

The natural beauty spots of St Lucia and Dominica

The pitons of St Lucia are world famous and magnificently beautiful. But perhaps even more beautiful is the unique view you have of this stunning natural masterpiece from the anchorage of the Sea Cloud II . Dominica is one of the wildest and most primal of the Lesser Antilles. The heart of the island is covered in thick virgin forest, where you will find plunging rivers and small creeks winding their way through the jungle.

“The Baths” – imposing granite formations

It is sometimes easy to think that this is one of nature’s fairy tales: Once upon a time, there was a giant who played with large stone marbles. His favorite playground was in Virgin Gorda, a place now called “The Baths” – a gigantic rock labyrinth made out of circular shaped granite.

Also on board: Prof. Dr. Guido Knopp

After completing his doctorate, historian Guido Knopp worked as editor for the German newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” and as head of foreign affairs for the “Welt am Sonntag” before moving to the German television broadcaster ZDF in 1978. His television documentaries and publications on contemporary history have won many awards, his films are shown in more than 150 countries across the world. Enjoy his fascinating and enjoyable talks on board.

Depending upon the circumstances, it is possible that another lecturer will be on board for this trip.

SmallShips.travel | Norwegian Fjord Cruises

Norway
__________________________________________________________________________

Discover New Voyages, All Year Round!

Witness the beauty of Norway’s coastline where every season provides an ever-changing backdrop to a journey of matchless wonder. Choose the 12-day Classic Round Voyage or enjoy one of our shorter journeys. Scroll down to learn more about our journeys during the different seasons.

Iarmth returns to the shores of Norway and sunlight rejuvenates life along the coastline. Rising higher and higher each day, the sun works overtime to thaw the frozen land. The Land of the Midnight Sun truly lives up to its name during summer. The extended daylight, lasting 24 hours a day above the Arctic Circle, makes every Norwegian ‘night’ a joy to behold.

As summer fades and changes to autumn, watch the coastline shift colours from one season to another. Along the Norwegian shores the clear air strengthens the reds and yellows which fill the mountain sides, hilltops and woods.

Autumn is a tranquil time on board Hurtigruten, and you get the time to enjoy the bright colours, the fresh air and the beautiful scenery we pass.

A winter expedition along the coast of Norway is a refreshing experience. The landscape is covered in pure white snow and the air is fresh, pure and crisp. This is a special time to explore Norway’s northern reaches with Hurtigruten, when you can experience a magical winter wonderland and hopefully see the mesmerising Aurora Borealis.

Daily departures and great offers on all cruises! Contact us for current specials!

SmallShips.travel | MS Europa 2 Golf Cruises

Information and additional Terms and Conditions of Travel for Golf & Cruise

General information

  • Our Golf & Cruise programme is subject to modifications, if tournaments are being staged at specific golf clubs.
  • Golf & Cruise voyages enable all golfers with a DGV (or equivalent) handicap of 36 or better to play courses right around the globe.
  • Additional courses can only be booked in connection with the Golf & Cruise package.
  • Reservation of e-carts is subject to local availability and cannot always be guaranteed. You may therefore have to play/walk courses with a trolley in tow, and some courses may even be undulating. Please take this into account when planning/booking your Golf & Cruise package.
  • The rules for taking golf equipment with you as hold luggage vary from airline to airline. You will find the relevant information in your travel documents, which you will receive approximately four weeks prior to departure.
  • Specific golf reservations can be made upon request. “Golf à la carte” includes reservation of requested teeing-off times (handling fee of EUR 20 per course) plus transfers and guides. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is only an intermediary – if you cancel, any golf-related goods and services already paid for will not be refunded. Cancellation terms as per Item 11 of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Terms & Conditions of Travel apply to transfers/guides.
  • Minimum number of participants: 12 people**

Additional Terms & Conditions of Travel applying to Golf & Cruise Voyages
Travel Cancellation
Item 11a) of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Terms & Conditions of Travel apply to cancellation of basic packages and additional courses prior to departure. A flat-rate fee of 95 % of the basic package and additional course price is payable in the event of cancellation post-departure or of a no-show. The traveller is entitled to demonstrate to Hapag-Lloyd Cruises that no loss has been incurred or that this loss is substantially less than the flat-rate fee. This rule also applies to cancellation due to illness. Fees will not be refunded if play has to be abandoned due to weather conditions. Separate cancellation of specific courses included in the basic package is not feasible.

** If less than the required minimum number of participants makes a firm booking, the golf package will be cancelled no later than six weeks prior to departure.
